What is this?

The Midjourney Image Downloader is a Chrome extension by Transfix AI. Use it to download images and the associated prompt from any page on Midjourney.Doesn't Midjourney have its own downloader?Yes, however the built-in Midjourney downloader is unreliable - it cannot download large archives, and lacks many of the features that this extension provides. This extension can download thousands of images at once reliably, and has features that were removed from the MIdjourney downloader, such as zip file naming and image timestamps matching the job timestamp. Also, the Midjourney downloader does not include prompts for the image. This extension works on all pages - showcase pages, search pages, job detail pages, and so forth. The extension also includes prompts for all downloads as metadata embedded within the image. For the technically inclined, each downloaded image also has extensive job parameters stored within image metadata as JSON, and all archive downloads include an additional JSONL metadata file. When should I use this?* To bulk-download images from pages other than your own gallery* To keep prompts within the image - don't have to keep track of prompts and images separately* To bulk download WebP files in addition to PNGs, at the same resolution* Download grids, upscales or both from your archive or another public user.* Split grids and download individual images (v5+ jobs only)* To have extensive job metadata attached to the image in JSON formatIs this secure? My images need to stay private.Absolutely. All processing, such as the metadata embedding, is done on your own device. This is both faster - we use image assets that are already on the page - and more secure, since images and prompts do not leave your computer after being downloaded. Everything stays between you and Midjourney.
